By accessing and using the Veritd website and services (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

Veritd reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service following any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified terms.

2. Description of Service

Veritd provides a talent validation platform that connects recruiters with peer-validated professionals. Our Service includes candidate validation, skill verification, peer endorsements, and related features.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of our Service, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
  • Submit false or misleading information

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant Veritd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content in connection with providing the Service.

You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit content and that it does not infringe on any third-party rights.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Veritd and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Payment Terms

For paid services, you agree to pay all fees as specified at the time of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except as expressly set forth in these terms or required by applicable law.

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically
  • Price changes will be communicated with reasonable notice

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. VERITD MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

10. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL VERITD, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Veritd and its affiliates from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of a recognized arbitration body.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
